MOM

Mom

In memory of my mother

It's been many years
since I saw you last
the memories I once had of you
one by one their fading fast

A few remembered memories
ones I hold so dear
are the ones I sit beside you
and your holding me so near

Why did you have to leave me
I really want to know
I was too young to be alone
why did you have to go.

Awww this one makes me think of my mother too. My biological mother died when I was like four years old and my adopted real mother died almost four years ago so I can understand what you write. Thank you for sharing.
Take care, Chrissie

Aw Cindy, this is so beautiful. You must have loved your Mother dearly. She will always be with you in your heart. I am lucky in that I still have my Mum but I know I will never lose the memory I have of her inside.
It was really lovely of you to share it with us and you write so well, she would be honoured.
